The 574 in Alpha Pink, a soft muted rose rather than a bright pink. It is the subtlest of the coloured 574s, closer to a neutral than a statement. Underneath it is the same 1988 hybrid road and trail runner that became New Balance's signature everyday shoe.

Fit and Construction

  • Suede and mesh upper in dusty rose with a pale pink N
  • ENCAP midsole cushioning, which New Balance describes as a polyurethane ring around an EVA core for support and durability
  • Speckled rubber outsole
  • Removable insole
  • Women's sizing 4.5 through 12 in B width

Best For

  • Everyday casual wear rather than running, despite the running heritage
  • All-day standing and walking, thanks to the ENCAP cushioning
  • Anyone who wants colour without it being loud, since this reads closer to a neutral than the name suggests
  • Standard women's width only. If you need a wide, ask about the unisex colorways in D
