European Women's Size & Fit Guide
EU sizes · General guidance for European-made brands · Women’s
Some European brands, including Salvia, don’t publish their own US conversion chart. Use this general EU-to-US guide — or stop in for a Brannock fitting at our Kettering, Ohio store.
How it fits
European (EU) sizes are whole numbers, so one EU size usually covers two US half sizes — for example, EU 38 fits most women who wear a US 7 or 7½.
Exact conversions vary by about a half size from brand to brand. If you’re between sizes, or wear thick socks or orthotics, size up.
Widths
Most European brands we carry come in one standard (medium) width.
Women
| EU | US |
|---|---|
| 36 | 5½ – 6 |
| 37 | 6½ – 7 |
| 38 | 7 – 7½ |
| 39 | 8 – 8½ |
| 40 | 9 – 9½ |
| 41 | 10 |
| 42 | 10½ – 11 |
This is a general guide, not an individual brand’s chart. Ranges reflect the conversions used by the European brands we carry.
How to measure
- Place a sheet of paper on a flat floor (tape it down so it doesn’t slip).
- Stand with one foot firmly on the paper.
- Mark the tip of your big toe and the back of your heel, then measure between the marks.
- Repeat with the other foot. If your feet are different sizes, use the larger measurement.
